John Ginty

John P. Ginty is the owner and president of Golden West, A Financial Corporation. John has been a business and personal financial planner for more than 30 years. He currently has clients in several states representing more than $100 million in assets. John is a knowledgeable and experienced professional who is often asked to speak to peers, community groups, employers and employees because of his ability to make complex financial topics easier to understand. His goal is to educate his clients about the investment process, help them set realistic goals and objectives, and pursue optimal results while keeping cost low.

Married since 1989, John has two children and is very active in his community. He is involved in his church, neighborhood events, and serves on the board of St Mary's Food Bank Alliance.


Matthew Harrison, AIF®

Financial Advisor

Matthew specializes in Retirement Accumulation Strategies, Retirement Income Planning, Portfolio Management & Risk Mitigation, Trust & Estate Planning, and Employee/Employer Corporate Accounts. Matthew brings more than 10 years of industry experience working with high net worth families and business owners to Golden West Financial.

Matthew graduated from Arizona State University - W.P. Carey School of Business with honors Cum Laude, with a degree in Business Law.  Through Matthew’s career, he has carried titles as Vice President – Investments, with companies like JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo Advisors, and Merrill Lynch.  

Before entering the finance industry, Matthew honorably served 5 years with the United States Marine Corps and obtained the rank of Sergeant (E-5). Matthew served with 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, Weapons Company. Matthew was Honorably Discharged as a Combat Veteran for time spent in Fallujah, Iraq; and surrounding areas.

In his spare time, Matthew enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter at their home in Chandler, Az. When he is able to get away, he also enjoys golfing, fly fishing, and traveling with his family.

Matthew is a committee member on the Saint Mary's Food Bank Alliance endowment board, and his family is active sponsors of the Wounded Warrior Project, the Arizona Animal Welfare League & SPCA (AAWL), and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).  


Emily Anderson

Office Manager

Emily Anderson is the Office Manager of Golden West, A Financial Corporation. Her time is spent, organizing client and company appointments, managing schedules, and keeping John, and Matt coordinated with one another.

Emily holds a B.S. degree in Finance from Arizona State University's W. P. Carey School of Business and is currently working towards her certifications in Insurance and Securities.

Emily is married and has two dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, and is an avid Diamondback fan.


Heather Gustafson



Heather is the receptionist for Golden West, A Financial Corporation.  She manages client and company appointments and various projects for both Matt and John. She also assists with insurance policy quotes, implementation and research.

Heather graduated from the Arizona State University College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, in 2003, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Anthropology and Minor in Art History. Heather is married with three kids and spends her time, outside of work, volunteering with school events and sports teams for her younger two children. In her spare time, Heather enjoys photography, traveling, attending concerts and baseball games .
